BuyingSellingLifestyleIT may look dated inside with its original blue tiled bathroom, but this residence with its stunning outdoor entertainment area, didn’t last long on the market.
The older style acreage at 30 Marieba Rd, Kenthurst was snapped up before its first official open home for $2.425m.
Agent Will Hampson from Lumby Hampson Real Estate said a buyer from their data base who had been searching for some time, was given an early inspection of the four bedroom property.
While the home has only been partly renovated, it is positioned on 2ha with a magnificent inground pool surrounded by beautiful gardens.
“ The buyers are planning on renovating extensively and they like the idea of adding their own touches to the property,’’ said agent Will Hampson.
“It is a nice street, a good location on the traditional five acres two of which are arable and the rest is bushland.’’
The vendors paid $1.065m for the property in December 2005. They updated the kitchen, painted the exterior and added the in-ground pool with sandstone finishing. There is also a large shed on the site.
“They came to the property from Coogee and added the resort style features,’’ Mr Hampson said.
“The property just had a great vibe to it — the home was solid and they had made some changes but the new owners will make more changes to really complete it.
“It is just a stunning pool and the ideal recreation break out for someone on acreage.’’
Latest figures from CoreLogic RP Data show the median house price in Kenthurst is $2.61m with 50 sales recorded in the 12 months ending in November. This pushed price growth up in the suburb by 28 per cent with strong demand continuing for acreage-style properties.
